Description
The Lachlan River runs approximately 1400 km through the Central West and South West slopes regions of New South Wales. Much of the river is flanked by wetlands such as the swampy area seen here. Tree species along the river include river red gums, yellow box and grey box.
It’s cold this morning, and steam rises from the water surface into the chill winter air. The dawn sky is coloured gold, orange and coral pink.
