Scientists have long suspected trees to be capable of locomotion however absolute proof has been lacking. The trees themselves have guarded their secret closely.
A careless move by this impetuous young conifer may have given the game away; I managed to catch the moment it lifted itself clear of the soil and scampered down the slope to join its friends in the valley below.
