Description
The Australian Brushturkey (a.k.a. brush turkey or scrub turkey, Alectura Lathami), is a rainforest dwelling fowl found in tropical and temperate regions of eastern Australia. The bird features jet black plumage (mottled underneath) with a yellow collar and red face.
Brushturkeys spend most of their time on the forest floor, building giant nesting mounds up to 4m in diameter. They are much better runners than flyers.
