The Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera) is a honeyeater native to south-eastern Australia. They inhabit coastal woodland and heathland, feeding mostly on nectar, berries and insects. Like most of the birds in the honeyeater family the little wattlebird has a long pointed beak and tongue for reaching deep into flowers. This one is enjoying its breakfast courtesy of a New Zealand Christmas bush.
