Artist's Description
Evening view over Dove Lake, looking south toward Cradle Mountain.
Dove Lake is located in the Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park, part of the larger Tasmanian Wilderness UNESCO world heritage area. The scenery here is glacial in origin formed during past ice ages. The famous pine boatshed, erected in the 1940s, graces the scene.
