Tucked away in the mountains outside Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, the Tidbinbilla Deep Space Communication Centre is a joint venture between the Australian CSIRO and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The centre has been used for space flight communications since the 1960s.
The instrument pictured here is the 26m dish (now retired) formerly used for communications with the Apollo lunar missions of the 1960s and 1970s.
