Description
The White Faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae) is a water bird found in Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and New Zealand. They frequent wetlands, swamps, rivers and coastal mudflats, seeking fish or insects for their diet. Adults are about 60-70 cm (2 feet) tall and have blue-grey plumage with a white face.
