Description
The sulphur crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is a large parrot found across eastern and northern Australia. The bird is named for its bright yellow crown feathers.
Adults are approximately 45-55 cm and can be very long lived. Their cry is extremely raucous and can be heard for hundreds of metres.
