Taking a stroll through a grove of young Puriri trees.
The Puriri (vitex lucens) is an evergreen tree native to New Zealand's North Island. It can be found in the northern part of the island in coastal and lowland areas. It has bright green palm shaped leaves with tubular pink flowers and small red fruit.
This photograph was taken near the town of Hahei on the Coromandel Peninsula, east of Auckland.
