A view of the central plaza of the city of Paris, Texas, looking toward the north east.
Paris Texas is a small city in the east of Texas. It shot to international fame with the 1984 movie of the same name, which ironically, did not feature the city in any scenes.
The city also plays homage to its famous European namesake, albeit in grand Texas style - an Eiffel Tower complete with cowboy hat graces the southern outskirts.
