Description
A New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae) resting in some bare branches.
The New Holland Honeyeater has black and white variegated plumage with yellow wingtips. They range across the southern coast of Australia.
Their long beak allows them to access the favourite food - nectar from native flowers. They are extremely active and rarely stay still for more than a few seconds; photographing them can be quite a challenge.

Exquisite! It was a pleasure to view this wonderful and named bird image that is now exhibited among the homepage features for the group, Wild Birds Of The World - A Nature Photography Group. L/F
