Two of the most recognisable symbols of Sydney; the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge pictured together glowing with the first blush of sunlight of the new day. Both the bridge and opera house are popular tourist locations.
The Sydney Opera House was designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon and was opened in 1973 by the Queen. The building is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Register.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened in 1932 and remains one of the longest and tallest steel arch bridges in the world. The top of the span is 134 metres (439 feet) above the water level. The bridge carries 8 lanes of traffic, two railway tracks, a cycleway and a pedestrian walkway. It is also possible to climb to the top of the span on a guided tour.
I am a photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I shoot mostly landscapes but include the occasional urban, flora and fauna shots for good measure. My photographs in these collections were taken in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Iceland and USA. Please note that watermarks do not appear on printed images.
