Description
A long exposure makes everything look calm and serene when in fact the surf was roiling from a storm on this day. The surging of the waves has been transformed into a gentle mist, seemingly caressing the basalt boulders.
This photograph was taken on Seven Mile Beach on the north coast of New South Wales.

Beautiful image Nicholas. You're right, it does look calm and serene and a place I could get lost in thought - but I also enjoy crashing surf - so reality wouldn't have been so bad either ( :
