Artist's Description
An Atlantic Puffin (ratercula arctica) perched high on the cliffs of Látrabjarg, Iceland.
Atlantic puffins inhabit the cold, northern reaches of the Atlantic Ocean. They spend most of their life out at sea, only coming ashore in late spring to nest and breed.
They feature a plump body with black wings and back, white breast and cheeks, and most distinctively an orange tipped beak.
