A Black Bellied Whistling Duck safe and sound in the upper branches of a bald cypress tree.
The black bellied whistling duck (dendrocygna autumnalis) is a mid-size water bird found on the southern Gulf Coast of USA through to Panama. They range in size from 600g – 1kg with a wingspan of 75 - 90 cm.
