Giant Sequoia (sequoiadendron giganteum) at Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park, California.
Yosemite National Park not only includes spectacular glacial valleys, waterfalls and soaring cliffs; several stands of giant sequoia can also be found in the park. The trees have a narrow range of habitat and only grow at high altitudes on the western side of the Sierra Nevada ranges in California. Their sheer bulk and height are quite overwhelming, comparable only to the older Kauri trees of New Zealand.
I am a photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I shoot mostly landscapes but include the occasional urban, flora and fauna shots for good measure. My photographs in these collections were taken in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Iceland and USA. Please note that watermarks do not appear on printed images.
