Description
This cow moose (Alces alces shirasi) seems quite unperturbed by the first flurries of a late autumn snowstorm. I spotted this one in the early morning as she was on her way down to the river to feed.
Moose are found in temperate and subarctic regions of North America, Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Russia. The cow pictured here is a Shiras Moose from the Rocky Mountains region of the United States.
