A young buck bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis). Bighorn sheep can be found in scattered populations in the western states of Canada, United States and Mexico.
I photographed this buck on the South Dakota prairie which is at the extreme eastern end of their range. He appears to be about 4 to 5 years old.
