Description
A Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans) enjoying a feast of seeds. This one doesn't seem to be put off at all by the steady rain.
The crimson rosella is a colourful parrot native to south eastern Australia. Juvenile rosellas feature green and red plumage. In adults this changes to their distinctive royal blue, deep red and black colouring. Adults are approximately 35cm long.
