Artist's Description
The dying rays of the setting sun light the surreal landscape of the South Dakota Badlands.
This photograph shows the aptly named Panorama Point in Badlands National Park. Over the course of about 45 minutes the landscape colours transformed from a creamy caramel, through deep orange to finally the blood red colours you see here, illuminated by the final seconds of sunlight. The rose pink and lavender alpenglow in the eastern sky completes the scene.
