Description
Anzac Bridge is a concrete cable-stayed suspension bridge linking the inner Sydney suburbs of Glebe Island and Pyrmont. The bridge spans the narrows between Johnsons Bay, Blackwattle Bay and Rozelle Bay which form part of the western reaches of Sydney Harbour.
The current bridge was opened in 1995 and replaced two earlier bridges across the same stretch of water.
The bridge is named after the combined Australian New Zealand Army Corp (ANZAC) which saw service in World War 1.
